In this guide, we’re on a hunt for the smallest, most comact, dinkiest electric rides you can get out there.
What we’re looking for picking these tiny rides
#1 – Weight & portability
There’s no point in having something tiny if it weighs a bomb, or has an awkward centre of gravity that make’s that 10kg feel like a lot more. As well as how compact a ride is, we’re looking at how hard it is to carry. How well does it fold, and is a pain to transport on a train or in your car?
#2 – Performance
With compact sizes comes smaller motors and decreased output. We’ll be taking a close look at how well each ride performs including how well it can handle anything other than pristine paths, along with climbing and descending slopes.
#3 – Range and charge time
We don’t expect to clock 25 miles per charge due to the reduced battery profile, but we’re looking for something that can handle at least 10 miles on a charge and doesn’t take over 6 hours to charge.
#4 – A proper electric ride, not just a toy
We know people like using electric scooters, bikes and other gadgets to get to college or work, so we’re not looking to waste money on a toy or a gadget. This has to be a proper adult ride that’s actually practical and sturdy enough to use again and again.
OK let’s dive in and look at the better options:
